Can I short on Botcrypto ?
Shorts are not directly available on Botcrypto.
You can still take sell positions. The gain will then be in the base asset.
For example on the BTCEUR pair, your bot can sell BTCs to buy more or less depending on the price variation. If the price is halved, it will buy back twice what it sold. But if the price has doubled, it will buy back half as much.
Note that to sell an asset, the bot must have this asset: it cannot sell BTC if it has no BTC in its balance. Otherwise, it will display an insufficient volume error.
